Your First Step
Safe Harbor Treatment Center offers a sub- acute, residential detox. Our State Licensed beds provide the services needed for the safe detoxification from addictive substances. Typically the first step in recovery, receiving detox services is often necessary to ensure complete and safe elimination of substances.
Every client admitted to our program who has not completed successful detoxification elsewhere will be assessed for this service. Clients must be screened for all substances in their system upon arrival to Safe Harbor. If during our assessment and screening process it is confirmed that a client has recently ingested or used substances, they will likely begin their stay with us in detox. If a client is medically cleared, they may enter directly into residential programming.
Detox is typically 3-14 days depending on the substances, amount and frequency of use.
During detox, women will be supported by trained professionals. Clients are provided with comfort medications to reduce symptoms and any dangers related to withdrawal. Safe Harbor follows all protocols mandated by the State of California with regard to client safety and observation and meets or exceeds all licensing requirements.
