Transitioning Home and Relapse Prevention:
Women learn to recognize that recovery is
a continuing journey. Here women develop tools
to prevent relapse, establish realistic goals
for the future, and acquire skills for coping
with the stress of every day life. Developing
friendships with women becomes vital and helps
provide a supportive transition back to the
home environment. After this phase, many clients
move to Safe Harbor’s affordable sober
living, where they continue to reestablish
themselves and receive our support. Safe Harbor
alumni are very active and present in the
community and an integral part of a newcomer’s
recovery.
