At Safe Harbor, we recognize the gentleness and vulnerability of women, and we cater to that truth. Our Knox program is designed for the specific needs of young women in the grips of drug and alcohol addictions. Women entering the Knox program are enveloped in love, support and a warm environment, which will enable them to learn and feel the principles of unconditional love, self-acceptance, unity, and service. Our counseling staff has years of experience in the recovery field dealing with the specific needs of women beginning their journey into recovery.
Our Knox program is designed to be helpful in the process of recovery allowing women to gain knowledge about the nature of addiction and the concepts of recovery. Our Counseling staff helps women develop a clear and personal history regarding the signs, symptoms and behaviors related to addiction and identify and implement new strategies and behaviors that reduce the possibility of relapse and improve quality of life.
Safe Harbor will help establish a support network that will provide emotional grounding and facilitate the ability to accomplish each woman's goals. Our program gives each woman insight into powerlessness, unmanageability, admitting and accepting their disease. This program is designed to provide each woman with personal insights, consideration and understanding as to the nature of chemical dependency and how it has affected their lives.
Our Knox houses are home to 15 women. Our staff includes Drug and Alcohol Counselors and 24 hour support staff.
